Studio background or lifestyle set?
Products photographed against a white background display the product clearly and require little or no styling. They may require editing to clean and brighten the background.
Lifestyle shots give context and scale to the products. They usually require no editing except maybe cropping.
A studio white background can be brought to the shoot for white background or packshot photography.
If you want a lifestyle shoot then the location and any props required will need to be provided by yourself.
I can give you advice and recommend the best course of action for the type of products you want to photograph.
What space is required for the product shoot?
The amount of space required depends entirely on the size of the products. Additional space around the background or shoot area will be required for lighting and to shoot a reasonable distance away from the products.
If you let me know the size of the products being photographed I can advise you how much space is required.
My flash lights need mains power to operate but if no sockets are available I do have battery powered flashes as well.
How long will the product shoot take?
The length of the shoot depends on the number, size, variety and complexity of the products being photographed. If you can provide this information I can give you an estimate of how long it will take.
When will I receive the images?
If you choose not to have your images edited you will usually receive them within a few days after the shoot. If you want the images to be retouched first then it will take longer due to the extra work required which will depend on the amount of retouching you want performed and the number of images.
What format will I receive the images in?
I will send the images as full resolution JPEGs. Other options are available so just ask if you require a different size or format.
How will I receive the images?
The images will be compressed into a single ZIP file and uploaded to my Dropbox account which I will send you a link to so you can download them at your leisure. Ensure you extract the images from the ZIP folder before attempting to view them. You can then delete the ZIP file.
